About Wye Creek:
There are 90 routes shared between the left and right branches of Wye Creek. With many classic climbs. most lines are bolted with some mixed and natural lines too. The rock is good quality schist and there is potential for alot more devlopment. To move between the north and south crags, walk along the pipeline. |

Directions: | The crag is about 15km south of Queenstown, overlooking Lake Wakatpu. From Queenstown: Just past Drift Bay Rd on State HW6 is a Department of Conservation sign to Wye Creek. Park off the road through the gate. Walk up the zig-zag 4x4 track, cross the culvert then continue up the walking track. About 2km in all. Camping is available along the verges of a track that leads to the lake, th track is found about 100m from the Wye Creek Bridge. |
