About Napes Crags-Great Gable (OS):

This crag is referred to by most as Great Gable, since it is the most important crag on the parent mountain. A high crag, offering climbs up to 350 feet long in an incredible position. South facing, but watch out, many of the best climbs are on the gully wall, which loses the sun around midday. About 30 routes on the main buttress, Severe to E5, and a good 20 climbs on the crags to the west of the main buttress up the ridges. Also about five routes on the famous Napes Needle. One of the best crags in the Lakes.
