About Farol da Guia:

The Farol da Guia crag is developed and maintained by the Desnivel climbers' association. Protection is mainly tige glue ins and double bolt chain anchors. Some of the anchors lack the chains and you will see the odd plate or two. This area is great in the winter as the sun on the rocks radiates heat so that even in 5º C temps at the top, you will be comfy in shorts and t-shirt at the crag. Beware of the water overflow at the bottom of the stairs section as the water comes from the car wash at the gas station.
Nearest town or city: Cascais
Directions: From Cascais or Sintra, follow the Avenida Marginal. The entrance is situated between the gate for the Naval installations at the lighthouse and the yellow water plant. You can park on the dirt and gravel berm at the foot of the farol (lighthouse) or in the small parking lot across the street from the gas station (Repsol) where you can get snacks or use the bathroom.
