About Stockhorn 3,211m:

The Stockhorn is a summer and winter small resort over the city of Erlenbach, in the Simme valley (=Simmental), south of Bern on the road to Zweisimmen.

The mountain itself is situated at the end of the Bietschhorn SE ridge. Its South ridge is reputedly one of the best ridge climbs in the Oberland. A bivy hut has made this climb very popular indeed.
