About 05. Bahchisarai sport:

Bahchisarai is a well-known tourist destination and an old Crimean capital, dating back to the Tatar rule of the peninsula in the Middle Ages. You can visit Khans' Palace, Cave monastery and Cave town to learn more about the Tatar culture - and don't forget to taste their cuisine. It is also a unique way to visit the Muslim Ukraine.
Bahchisarai is in the center of the peninsula and has a very esthetic, white-colored climbing area with 5 distinct sectors, 15-20 minutes walk from each other. Routes are well-bolted going from 5 to 7c. During the hot months, climbing is possible early in the morning or late in the eveining, siesta in-between. |

| Directions: | FROM SIMFEROPOL: The cheapest and most convenient way to get to Baxchasarai is to take an "electrishka" towards Sevastopol, stopping in Baxchasarai. Be sure to ask someone to tell you when you get there so you know when to get off. Once you arrive, find a "marshrutka" (like a small bus) that heads to the old town, "stary gorod." Take this "marshrutka" to the end and walla, the cliffs are all around you. Alternatively, you can take a "marshrutka" from Simferopol to Baxchasarai. Go to the bus ticket office next to the mcdonalds near the train station. This will drop you off either at the edge of Baxchasarai or near the train station in town. After arriving, follow the directions from above. |

| Access Issues: | No known access issues. Some of the bolts are sketchy looking and the soft rock means that these older bolts are also often hanging out of the wall. Regardless, there are plenty of routes with new and good looking bolts. |
