About north shore mixed:

some of the funnest stuff ever, frozen vertical clay( actually the degrees vary from easy going to overhanging), it is amazing how well of a placement one can get in this stuff. i have bashed angles and even peices of pipe in this stuff just to make me feel like i have pro( it would at least hold body weight), there is plenty of ice plastered on these nortern walls. Scrambling over broken ice pans, facing 80km winds and the most incredible sunsets over the frozen ocean, will make u feel like are a hell of a lot farther than a 5 minute walk from the car. Orby head and area in cavendish was my favorie, close by there is an easy 3rd class down climb to the shore. use common sense with the tides, The 5 minute approach can also be lenghtend to 20 minutes do to walking through snow up to yer croch. have a blast, i know i did.( not for the fair weather, cold feet climber who is scared his pretty ice tools might get dull)
