About Kamouraska:

Kamouraska is the sport climbing Mecca in Quebec. There are 100 routes completely bolted for great climbing of all levels. You have to pay 6$/day or 50$/year to climb there. The site is taken care of by the climbing federation of Quebec and the SEBKA. The cliffs are on private property, please behave!

The rock in kamouraska is unique in Quebec. It's a mix of granite and quartz (orthoquartzite) which makes for a unique rock climbing experience.
The routes are often featured with huge pockets and huecos, and the texture is super-friendly. Climbs range from bolted 5.5s to 5.13+.

An added note: the view is just spectacular from the top of the routes. Definitely an added bonus.

Nearest town or city: St-Andre-de-kamouraska
Directions: highway 20 towards Riviere-du-loup. Take exit 480 north, at the end of the route, turn left on the 132. Half a mile later you'll see the parking lot on the right. Note you have to get a free parking permit, available at the SEBKA, further west. The trail starts on the other side of the road and goes thru the lands of M. Morin who is nice enough to let us pass. If you continue on the 132 you'll see a big camping ground, called the SEBKA, this is where you get your day/year pass and parking permit.
