About Eagle River:
Though the rock in the area is generally chossy, there are some good boulder problems and small to medium crags to be found. Protection in the area is mostly trad, so be prepared to bring a selection of gear, and don't expect all your placements to be bomber. One generally has to have local knowledge of the area to avoid a tiring bushwhack to the areas though, so find a local climber or head to a couple of the easier areas before looking for the hidden gems. |
