About West Elden:
Lots of boulders, leads, and TR's. A great area at 8000'ft. Very nice in the summer. Bring tape! The rock is Dacite and is very abusive to the hands. Plenty for all to climb. |

Directions: | From Flagstaff. Go NW on US 180. Pass the Museum of N AZ. Then turn right on Shultz Pass RD. Go 0.6 Mi to a fork. Take Rt fork up FR 557. Go 3.7mi then look for parking on the Rt. The climbing stretches from the fence line on the south side to a cattle guard and fence on the north side. |
