Upper Tier, The
Nearest town or city: Westlake/Thousdand Oaks
Directions: Four approaches lead to The Upper Tier. 1-scramble over the huge polished boulders 10 yards upstream from "Xanadu" and exit the wash to the right on a faint climbers trail. 2-Approach via the Mishe Mokwa Trail and follow trail toward Balanced Rock from Split Rock, hike east until one can descend toward The Upper Tier. 3-Scramble up the gully described in Louie Anderson's guide, left of the base of "Bushed Coyote." 4-Climb the route "Stinger," clip the anchor and continue climbing up to a belay bolt at the base of "Welcome to Echo."
