About Grizzly Dome-Feather River Canyon:
| There are many climbs in the Feather River Canyon area on Highway 70, just East of Chico. Grizzly Dome is the most popular area, with 25+ established routes, mostly bolted sport but some trad and mixed trad/bolted. Grades range from 5.6-5.12a. There are a few multi-pitch trad and bolted routes also. Primarily slab/face climbing. Approach is pretty difficult - depending on where you park you may have to walk up to 60 feet! |

| Directions: | From Sacramento (2 1/2 easy hours), head North to Highway 70/99 turnoff. Head North on hwy 70 through Oroville. Continue past Oroville approx 30 miles on hwy 70 into the Feather River Canyon. Pass through Arch Rock Tunnel and go approx. 1 1/4 miles till you see the OBVIOUS next tunnel and dome (Grizzly Dome). Park just before the tunnel. The climbs are in the Grizzly Creek area just below the highway. |
