About Mammoth Pool Reservoir:

Numerous multi-pitch granite domes along the spectacular San Joaquin River canyon. Lots of Forest Service campgrounds. Great bouldering along some of the creeks such as Rock Creek(great name, eh?). Lots of climbing on walls above deep water so free-soloing is a possibility here. Small store for supplies nearby. Great place to spend several weeks on vacation.
Nearest town or city: North Fork
Directions: From Fresno drive up Hwy. 41. Before you get to Coarsegold, turn right on North Fork Rd. From North Fork(whose claim to fame is being the geographical center of California and the CA home to Bigfoot) drive 40 miles up Minarets/Mammoth Pool Rd.
