About Picture Canyon:

Picture Canyon is most known for cliff writings and Native American religious matter. However, great sandstone bouldering and climbing exists here. It is still very primitive and undeveloped but there is a lot there for a person to climb.
Nearest town or city: Springfield
Directions: From Springfield, drive south on Highway 287 for 17 miles; turn right (west) on County Road M for 8 miles; turn left (south) on County Road 18 for 8 miles; turn right (south) at the Picture Canyon road sign (Forest Service Road 533) and continue 1 mile to the parking area.
