WELCOME TO IDAHO

Say the name "Idaho" and people immediately think "potatoes", it is most people's conditioned response, elicited by years of very effective advertising by local growers. This, by the way, also drives Idahoans CRAZY (it's best not to mention it unless you want an earful). Yes, Idaho is about more than earthen vegatables, in fact, Idaho is the home of some world class climbing areas. Sport and Trad crag climbers will enjoy the famous City of Rocks near Oakley, alpine enthusiasts and long alpine tradders can get their fix in the Sawtooth, White Cloud, and Lost River Ranges, and boulderers will find a smattering of established problems in most areas, and many new areas to explore. There is MUCH rock to be explored and developed in Idaho and great climbing to be found nearly anywhere in the state, no matter what your preference... and yes, you can probably find some really enourmous potatoes too.
