About Robbinson Park:

As of 5/2006 Sandstone is now officially open to climbing and bolting. Bolting can only be done with permission of city and climber council (fairly flexible at this point).

We are in process of bolting. The ethic at this park is to use ONLY 5" SS Fixe eyebolts with Hilti 500 glue, only the best.

We don't want a mis-mash of rusting crap littering the landscape. We will chop anything that does not conform.

As of 5/2006 there are 3 bolted routes and perhaps 50 topropes. Route map is work in progress.

Climbing is best in cool weather due to mosquito breeding ground in center of climbing area.

There are now about 20 routes. See: http://www.dreezman.com/Bolting/sandstone_quarry.htm for more detail.
Nearest town or city: Sandstone
Directions: Basically exit at the first Sandstone Exit - I think it is exit 191. Go right. The road will split just before a gas station. Take a right to go into town. In about the middle of town take another right on Hyw 123. Go down 123 for about 1/2 mile or so and the Robinson Park turn in on your left. If you go across the Kettle river, you've gone too far. Robinson Park is where the Sandstone dot is on the attached map.
