Boulder Beach Area
About Boulder Beach Area:
Easy approach and short 3-4 bolt sport climbs. Parking at the base of the climb! West facing and HOT HOT HOT during the summer afternoons. Don't think you're allowed to bolt in this area but it's been done and they look pretty new. Probably shouldn't do anymore. |
Approach: | It's easier to come down Lakeshore Rd from Boulder City and drive about 1 1/2 miles from the pay station. If coming from the Lake Mead Pkwy pay station it's about 10 miles down Lakeshore Rd. but a nice scenic drive with Lake Mead to your left. From either direction, look for a rocky/dirt road on the west side of Lakeshore Rd that creeps around a small mountain. Park around the back side of this mountain. This is not too far from the Boulder Beach campground area but on the opposite side of the road. |
