Description:
en route to the farther reaches of the crag (such as hone wall), the trail rises slightly toward a small buttress. On the right side of the buttress, this climb is identifiable by its shiny bolt 10-feet up. Climb broken rock to a horizontal crack beneath the bolt. clip, then balance or "fly" to a positive edge on the next ledge. continue up the easier crack system to a suspect tree with slings.

Ascent Note
William Golding's LOTF is one of my favorite novels. I wanted to do this climb because it was one of the only dry climbs on this day. Amanda belayed me through opening moves (2.5 Friend is huge here), through the crux (why isn't anyone talking? am I taking that long?) and to the top. Afterward, Amanda, John and Gunther followed. Later, John, Amanda and I hiked to Lonesome Lake then stopped at The Common Man. What a great day.
