About Morrow Mountain Boulder:

Morrow Mountain is in one of the world's oldest mountain ranges, the Uwharries. There is not much climbing at all at Morrow except for a 12 ft high, 30 ft long boulder I discovered.
Nearest town or city: Albemarle
Directions: From Albemarle on 24/27 S, take a left onto Valley Dr for approximately 3.3 miles. Take a right onto Morrow Mountain Rd and follow that for a couple miles until you enter into the park. After about a half a mile you will see "Trail Parking" on the right. Park in there and approach the boulder by walking back onto the road to the fork. Take a right (it leads to the top of the mountain, but we aren't going quite that far) and walk about a third of a mile until you see a collection of stumpy boulders about 50 ft into the woods on the right. Walk to these and you will see another collection of stumpy boulders a little deeper in on your left. The main, climbable boulder is about 100 yards deeper into the woods. You will only see about the top 5 feet from the back, but it opens up as you come around.
