About Lehigh Gap (Devils Pulpit):
This area is on the west side of the gap. It's the prominant rock outcropping you'll see as you drive towards the gap. The pulpit is the pillar of rock about half way up yhe cliff. The left side of the cliff has several good routes along with some good bouldering possibilities as well as being easily accessible for toproping. The front of the promintory is somewhat looser but is nicely exposed and does have some good easy routes ans cool scrambeling as well as the right side also. The climbs tend to be about fifty to eighty feet in length. Make shure to bring you'r helmet as there is loose rock on top and it slopes towards the edge generally. |
