About Devils Cove:

This rock quary is very hidden and difficult to access. although, rock quality and quantity of routes is spectacular. the rocks lie dormant atop a hill just outside the city limits. there are routes stretching to heights of 120 ft. and difficulty levels up to 5.12. moss coverage is minimal and all climbs are either top rope or placing trad gear, no bolted routes...yet. very secluded and unheard of, this is a great climbing area. a down side is that a lot of good routes have been overgrown by vegetation making them hard to find or get to. the main climbing area, or courtyard, is free of this and has many routes. no-one will stop you from camping up here but please be considerate and clean up after yourself. have fun and climb on.
Nearest town or city: Bradford
Directions: devils cove is one of the most unexpected climbing areas you'll ever go to. by that i mean it pretty much pops out of nowhere. no one that i know of climbs there except myself and a handful of friends. if you go south on high street tword the case knife factory you'll go by 2 or 3 lumber factories. you should park in the parking lot of the 1st one and hike from there. if you go by rutherford run on your left you've gone too far and if you go by owens way on your right you gone too farX2. from where you should park you walk down the road about 200 feet, the road will bend to the left and before it bends back right you'll see a house on the left side of the street w/ the beginning of a trail right before it. start walking up that trail, it's about a mile hike all uphill. if you have a 4 wheeler it would be ideal. don't try to take your vehicle up this trail, trust me you won't make it. but when you get to the top the trail will make a sharp left, stay to the right when the trail Y's off after the sharp left and it will bring you right into the courtyard, that's devils cove. there's a lot of possibility if you look around, plenty of good climbing.
