About Suck Creek Canyon:

Camping is available near t-wall or prentice cooper state park. Suck creek has been attracting a small number of climbers since the 1980's. Some of the best 2 and 3 star routes of the south are found at suck creek.
Nearest town or city: Chattanooga
Directions: from chattanooga take 27 north across the tn river. After about a mile, exit onto 127 north, and follow it to the base of signal mt. Turn left on Suck Creek Road (27 west), and follow it for four miles, cross a bridge, and continue up the canyon. there are 2 places to climb here at suck creek, 1) upper passes and 2)roadside wall. the pulloff for the upperpass's is on the right about a mile from the bridge. hike across the creek to the base of the cliff base the routes lie to the left of the landslide. The roadside wall is about 1.5 miles past the bridge and there is an obvious pulloff on the right. scramble across the creek and to the cliff base.
