About Fracture Zone:

This is about the most recent group of climbs to be put up here in Capitol Reef (1997). Because of the ban on new anchors, all decents are either walkoffs, or rappels from trees. Stewart Green, one of the route setters here, warns of very loose rock at the top! To access, drive 5.9 miles down the scenice drive. Scramble east, and up through a break in the Chinle shale to the Wingate cliff above. About a 30 minute approach time.
