About Chuckwalla:

A classic desert red sandstone cliff face 5 minutes from downtown St. George, Utah. It is essentially the local "climbing gym" as the crag can be climbed all times of the year and it is so easily accessed. It provides great training for power and endurance and offers a fun bouldering traverse. The climbs are fairly stout, therefore, it is not a great place to take beginners. It is the most popular climbing spot in the area nevertheless. The parking lot area has recently been fenced and pit toilets placed. A no camping sign has been posted.
