About pioneer park:

The "Red Hill" as called by the locals has been a favorite spot for hiking, scrambling, picnicking and bouldering since the original settlers arrived here in the late 1800s. There are many red sandstone domes and hoodoos with several excellent overhanging traverses scattered along the broken up ridge. There are also a few toprope climbs established on the higher formations. One can find some fun "narrows" and caves within a minute of the parking areas. Many bouldering possiblities remain to be established.
