About Middlebury College Climbing Wall:

The Middlebury Climbing Wall is located in Nelson Recreational Center. Aside from the climbing wall, Nelson is home to multi purpose tennis and basketball courts. Middlebury's Climbing Wall staff is entirely composed of students, open six days a week. The Middlebury Climbing community has existed as long as there have been rocks to climb and students willing to climb them. The new indoor rock wall, built by EntrePrises, was constructed in 2001 and includes a cave, roof, and overhang section with belaying and bouldering options. The indoor Climbing Wall, designed by EntrePrise (makers of the X-Games climbing wall) features both belaying and bouldering. The wall itself has a cave, roof, and overhang section. Climbing shoes, harnesses, and chalk are ALL provided free of charge for Middlebury students. Students must sign a waiver when climbing for the first time.
