About Icicle Canyon:

The rock is dark granite with lots of slabs and cracks. Most routes along Icicle Road are within walking distance. There are routes for all ability levels here with many scary runout leads as well as mellow topropes. One favorite is Snow Creek Wall about 2 miles up the Snow Creek trail offering longer climbs and longer approach. This area is seeing more traffic in the last few years but is still considered to be one of the best in the canyon. There are also roadside attractions for those not seeking the adventure such as eight mile rock(near 8 mile campground), Bruce's Boulder, and Muscle Beach. Some routes I would like to recommend are Bo Derek 5.10 crack on Givler's Dome, Givler's crack 5.8 on Givler's Dome, Orbit 5.8 on Snow Creek Wall,and Outer Space 5.9 Snow Creek Wall.

Directions:	From Seattle take Hwy 2 over Stevens Pass to the town of Leavenworth (approx. 1 1/2 hrs). As soon as you enter into town make a right on Icicle Road (there will be a gas station on this corner). Take this road up for a few miles and then you will see the rock on both sides of the road.
