Description:

Though the quality may be less than desirable, the view and adventure is not lacking. Ascend loosish 4th class terrain 80' to a stance on ridge crest. Wander right 30' along a gravelly ramp past fixed gear. Ascend up mossy gravelly terrain (pro) and mantle 5.5(R) onto a large block, then prance up the wide slot to the notch. From the notch ascend the north ear, and if you want the south ear as well. Greater than normal ability to free climb over odd ledges of loosish gravel and rock. Not a sport climb but a challenge.

Descent Options:

Rappel 100' down to the traverse and walk along traverse 30'. Rappel 80' to saddle. Scramble down steep ravine. Basically reversing the route.
