Directions: | From Fayettville take Rt. 16 W for approx. 8 miles. Cross a bridge spanning the New River. There are two areas. Bottom and Top. For the bottom, you continue past the bridge for approx. a quarter mile. Park in the first gravel parking lot on the left side of the road. Go down the hill. For the top, you park in lot on the right side of the road just after the bridge. The trail starts at the end of the parking lot closest to Rt. 16. Follow the trail up the hill where it becomes an old logging road. Follow the wider trail, which eases uphill to the first boulder. (FROM THE GUIDE BOOK WRITTEN BY CHRIS ANTHONY) |
