About Turners Climbing Alliance:
| Milwaukee Turners Climbing (MTC) gym is a community-based indoor rock climbing facility located in the basement of Historic Turner Hall. Our rock wall is managed and run by us: the Milwaukee Turners Climbing Alliance. We are a volunteer driven coalition dedicated to maintaining the gym and teaching classes to the public. The gym features (20) 25-foot top ropes, a bouldering wall, traverse routes, locker rooms, equipment rental, and plenty of dedicated climbers. Offering one of the most affordable forms of indoor exercise and entertainment in the Milwaukee area, we like to think of ourselves as one of Milwaukee’s best kept secrets—but it’s the kind of secret we’d like to share with you. Come on in and pass our belay test to climb on your own, or if you’re new to rock climbing, or just rusty, then you can purchase a “Learn-to-Climb” lesson. The affordable “Learn-to-Climb” includes an unlimited day pass, harness, belay device and a climb/belay lesson from one of our experienced staff members. After the lesson, your instructor will then test your newly found knowledge to make sure you can safely climb and belay. Alliance members are available throughout regular gym hours to answer questions, check equipment and help you work on technique. Come to the rock climbing gym on your own to meet new people, or bring a partner to really solidify your friendship. Either way you need to take advantage of our great facility today. Alliance members and the Rock Gym are available for special group events and parties to provide lessons and help out where needed. Birthday parties, scout outings, and church groups are just some of the climbing ideas we’ve worked with. Group Climbs (standard): $10/person Group Climbs (non-profit): $7/person All group pricing includes Learn-to-Climb lesson and equipment rental (shoes not included). For an additional fee, rock climbing shoes can be rented (although a good pair of tennis shoes works just as well).
