About los calambucos:
| Los Calambucos is located in one of the canyons on the flanks of the Misti volcano. In winter (June-July-August), there may be too much water present to climb if it has been raining. Getting there and getting back to Arequipa may be confusing so try to find local climbers who can help. |

| Directions: | Local buses go up to Pueblo Independencia (I think), which is a district near Calambucos. A dirt road to the right of the canyon leads uphill, but you'll need to know when to leave the road and how to find the start of the rappels. Find local climbers in town first. |
