About Punta MePi (5030 m):

Is one spire of Nevado Uruashraju (5722 m.) on the right side of the Rurec valley, big wall with the first part with slab not too steep and the head wall with a lot of cliff. Usually the base camp is planted in a big flat clearing under Punta Numa on the right side of the valley. Is a good idea plant the base camp at the big stone near the rover crossing. Approach: Easy track following the left side of the river, the last part is pretty steep but easy. After the stone wall that divide the valley in the middle go ahead for 10 minutes until a big stone with a crack, cross the river using a fallen tree and to return behind for little under the center of the wall. Approach Time: 40 min.
