I was there on 10/18/2009 On 5.9 most left route saw most of the bolt was pulled and one the anchor sawed off? I could not see to well from another route. Does anyone know what's going on?

those routes @ point dume were put up a long time ago....and the sea climate destroys fixed hardware very quickly. my understanding of point dume is that it's not a smart idea to use the fixed gear. the super-old guidebook suggests top-roping off of a tree.

...but there are no trees! There are usually 2-3 bolts to top rope off of. Just be redundant and don't use if corroded.

They are actually working on replacing the anchors within the next couple of weeks. A non profit climbing org is funding the replacement. I actually just got into climbing and am taking instruction from someone working on the project. I can get you more details if you're interested.
