The MSR Fury might be a tad on the big side, but its the lightest double walled 4-season mountaineering tent on the market. http://www.mountainsafetyresearch.com/tents/fury.asp Its a nice tent too. Easy to set up in the wind. Also check out the Bibler I-tent. Lighter still, but higher price. Single walled. http://www.bdel.com/gear/i-tent.php Similar is the Integral Designs Mk1 http://www.integraldesigns.com/...;mainproducttypeid=5 All three are "cozy" with two people, so a single person, with gear, should fill it just about perfectly. Good luck. And maybe I'm just spoiled, but 8000 isn't all that high unless you're in the coastal ranges. I live at nearly 8000 feet. A standard 4 season tent ought to get it done.
