The answer is Tea Tree Oil. All the other suggestions here are just crappy, dryer sheets use perfume, lysol smells horrible and is bad for the environment. Lots of other solutions like washing them can also damage the suede and rubber in your shoes. Put a few drops of TeaTree oil into a spray bottle with water and spray the inside of your shoes with it. It's natural, cheap, kills bacteria and actually smells nice without being perfumey.
