Tracy: I'd love to do some lunchtime climbing, but I'm still on injured reserve. Hoping I'll be able to get back by the weekend. Are you going to be in Lumpy this weekend?

In reply to: Tracy: I'd love to do some lunchtime climbing, but I'm still on injured reserve. Hoping I'll be able to get back by the weekend. Are you going to be in Lumpy this weekend? Bummer! Hope you get better soon. What did you do? I have my boys all weekend. I'm trying to line up some fun for the kids and parents this weekend. Turkey Rocks has been mentioned and so has doing Huron Peak. Or if the climbing aspect is a bust because of lack of interested climber parents, we'll just go somewhere we can camp/hike/bike/fish. You and Katie are more than welcome to join us. I know Austin would like that.

Tracy: Let me know what your plans are. If I heal up in time, I am hoping to do a couple days at Lumpy or in the Park this weekend, but I have Katie on Monday. I was thinking about taking her up the 3rd flatiron Monday, but I need a grown up partner to do that since she can't belay me. As for Katie and Austin, I think they'll both have their hands full.

Mike, what are you thinking of climbing in Lumpy? I could do a day trip sometime this week.

So here is the weekend plan for those who might be interested. Sat day leave Denver with parents and kiddos and head to Mt. Huron to explore mines, camp and hike the peak. Come back to Denver Sunday night. Monday, climb at Red Rock Canyon in CO Springs with kids and any other big kids that might be interested. If anyone with/without kids is interested in partaking in any of this, this weekend, drop me a PM or E-mail to gurlyclimber@msn.com. No back to your regularly scheduled nudity.

Hello, I am a from Washington and will be living in Colorado Springs, CO for the next 3 months (arriving this weekend). I am looking for partners to climb with. I prefer longer multi-pitch trad climbs to single-pitch sport routes, but I will climb whatever (assuming I can get up it - which means 5.10 and below). I am also interested in doing some hiking and backpacking while I am here. I am driving my own vehicle and willing to driving anywhere in Colorado (possibly neighboring states as well). If interested let me know. Later. :D Ken

It will be sport climbing that weekend, but plenty of traddy's will be there. You should be able to find some partners.

In reply to: Where's her helmet? I see no reason why the lass in the red what-cha-ma-call-it should be anywhere near a helmet. No reason whatsoever.
