8-one finger pull-ups, 25-two finger, and i guess you can figure the rest...i can bust regular pullups all day now. (thanks to a knee injury about a year ago) School Sucks, Go Climbing!!! Justin side note...any girl that can bust more than 5 or 10 pullups, especially 20, RULES!!

In reply to: I can do about 20. I'm working on doing a 1 arm. Can Josephine really do 20? I know a couple of girls that can do 1 but that's it. If so that's impressive. I know some girls that can do more than me about 25 or 30[they are thinner than me]...Wooow!I don't know how they can do that. When i was 12 to 15,i was exercising all the time on the rings...I had very strong hands. As i said i do 20 only when i'm not tired...And that only if i'm out off climbing for 1 week. I had very weak arms[i couldn't do a 5] but in the last three months,my arms are very strong,i can stay on the wall doing nothing, just grabbing one hold with my hand for about 6 or 7 min...or trying a difficult route for 15 min[indoor] I love pull ups,I hate push ups though... What i did these three months was when i woke up...i did everyday about 5 pull ups then i increase them to 10,then to 15 and finally to 20. [so everyday,morning-night] The best exercise that helped me a lot was staying on the bar without doing pull ups for about 20sec...with the body stable, not moving. It's a good exercise. *this period of time though i'm running all the time to the doc's :( I'm destroying my muscles.

There should be a separate forum (right after Trad, Aid) about how many pull-ups you can do. And another one: how many leg-lifts can you do? And another: how much do you bench? And still another: Andro or Creatine: how much do you eat? This topic has been beaten to death. Pull-ups are a training technique, not a measure of climbing ability. You might as well post a topic: How far can you swim underwater holding your breath? Or how steep can you go up on your bike? Or how many guys can you fight at once if they're drunk, but you're still OK? The real question is: how many pull-ups can you do on a 3/8" wide rounded door jamb finish molding in your house? I can do ten.
