He man that was some story, I am very glad you are okay. I have started to lead trad myself this year and had ran into a couple of run outs. One of them was ok, easy climbing just very exposed, but the other one was scary as hell, on limestone slab, unprotectable, and my last piece was somewhere 30 feet below me, it was an old piton...I did not fall though, I donīt think I have ever been so focused, and afterwards when i was belaying my partner up and I was looking down at the rope dangling in space (could not even see my last piece), I felt like puking. I was aware I was pretty much soloing....I hope you heel (both physically and mentally) real soon! Cheers!

Oddly....it is the OP that revived the post. With his or her comment about indifference.

Cliffmonkey - with another season under your belt since your epic, do you think you would have made the same decisions if you were heading into the same stuation today? If not, what would you do differently? Try to be honest, if you can get the perspective.
