nah, the ones that are set for a smaller resolution will just have extra space along the sides and bottom on occasion, it won't affect your enjoyment really. go to your control panel, display, and then hardware or settings I think...its one of the tabs at the top of the display window (I'm assuming you are running windows) and then push the slider on the resolution thing to the right...not too far though, because your screen will go staticky and I'll have to tell you how to boot it in safe mode.

Yeah well i didn't know YOU last July, now did I??? And I should say, he TOLD me all the parts were there, and I saw the pieces, all the major stuff was, but I can't guarantee there wouldn't have been SOME fab work. Remember that windows will ask you to confirm the changes before it makes them permant. If you mess up, wait 15 seconds and Windows will fix it automatically. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA  Gotta love dumb helpdesk people. There are dumb users too though. I once had a guy try to reboot his computer buy turning off his monitor and turning it back on again.

As for your garage, dude anytime. I am dying to get back into welding, play with MIG, cut sh1t with a torch, the whole deal!!! I SOOO need a shop of my own. I have a basement full of woodworking tools and NO place to use them.
