Looking for my perfect partner [In reply to]

I have been having trouble finding the perfect partner, so I will list their attributes, and you can contact me if you think that we'd have fun together.

Climbs approximately at my level (onsighting easy 12s, working harder ones sport, ditto 11s trad)
Mostly has time to climb on the weekends.
Wants to climb nearly every weekend.
Owns a car.
Mellow/non-competitive, good motivator
Enjoys seeing new areas
Wants to train hard this winter
Sunny disposition

I'm not a snob, and enjoy climbing with nearly everyone, but its nice to have one really solid partner with similar goals. So, if that's you, pm me.

Tracy, I will probably be out there a little late as well. I don't get off work until 5pm, so I'll headed that way some time after that. If you want to share a camp site thats kool too.

Anyone have plans this Sunday for Eldo or nearby that doesn't mind a tag-a-long? hmmmmm? :)

If not have an awesome week-end. Sorry I can't join the shelf crew ...heading to Steamboat for some biz.

how about 9:30 in the lot? That should give me plenty of time to pull myself out of the gutter after drinking heavily.

9:30 then...and by the "lot" do you mean the area before the park (across from the market)...or the "lot" near the bathrooms once you get in? :)

It seems most people are either already at Shelf, or climbing Eldo. If anyone is looking for another alternative, I am doing the Devil's Head thing tomorrow unless the skies look sketchy. Then I'll probably do a day trip down to Shelf. So far it sounds like the weather will be good so I'm pretty sure I will be sticking with plan A. PM me before 4:15 mdt today if you want to join up.

I live in Northern New Mexico and am looking for people to climb with anywhere from Penitente up through Eldorado. Would aslo like to get on the Flat Irons. I work at sea, so have big chunks of time off.

Team Eldo:

I wish I could join you. I plan on getting out on Monday and Wednesday. Kyle/Lisa Do you two still want to play on the whale's tail and place some pro next weekend? If I haven't bagged Calypso by then I'm going to give it another shot on Saturday(2nd).

Shall we plan it now? 745-800(because I can't climb without my Panera Fuel!) ;)

Talk to you both later in the week.

Hey Larry. Kristin, Tim and I will be heading out tomorrow. We're thinking the TRIFECTA (all 3 Flat Irons) or Eldo. A 4th would be nice so we can have eqaul teams. PM me if interested.

Met up with zozo, coclimber26 and shorty and had a great time. Did variations on Wind Tower. Have a better appreciation for coclimbers "target" practice (*cough*) and now know how to find zozo if he's ever lost in the wilderness and am amazed at Shorty's patience while I drilled question after question (about both skiing and climbing). :)

So jeremy...next time do some tarzan call when you're climbing....I'll bet we'll find you then :P

Yeah it was a great day, it was a great weekend. Shelf on saturday, Eldo on sunday. Love that combo.

Caught mike_in_co's 25 foot whipper. I got the worse of that deal!

Nextacsent if you want my hiking shoes when Im done all you gotta do is ask!! Dont beat around the bush they are yours! I'll bronze them for ya. Between my hiking shoes and Larry's climbing shoes we have a pretty good brew going. And I dont know what that insipid cough syrup you fed me was but Ive been feelin kinda funny.

It was nice to meet cologman (I'll be in touch about diamond routes in the spring) and Shorty ( was wondering if you really existed or were a figment of the collective unconcious here! And Drew if you ever need a midweek shelf partner just give me a buzz. Screw work.

coclimber - I will lead if I must.

Thanks everybody

/It was a dark and stormy morning (well, maybe in Florida), and suddenly a shot rang out./

OK, so maybe it was the unmistakable pinging sound of aluminum against rock, followed by a whizzing sound. Then the word "rock". Actually no, not a rock, but a big honkin' locker and a reverso. Bad aim, big guy -- missed me by 5 or 6 feet. By the way it sure looked like you were having fun belaying double ropes with Munter hitches.

All in all, a good day doing pitches I haven't been on since the early nineties. Somehow, they just seem a little easier now.

I NEED A NEW PARTNER!
My buddy got a new job, and we have different work hours (i work 7-4 M-F). I climb any type, 12 sport, and 11- trad. Hopefully I can tag along with some of you sometime. I'm a fun dude, and love meeting new people. Please PM or post here if interested. I also have a few weekdays that I can go climb.

Bueller? :) I have some climbing scheduled(a date no less) in Eldo - not sure what we'll hit. Then I'll be on my way to RnJ N provided I have any fingers left. I don't climb that hard in Eldo so I don't see a problem ;). I'll see you there....even if it is to belay you up a few routes.

Gotta run.

Hotlanta sucked. Damn I love CO... Is CCC open? I'd be up for some routes at Eiger this afternoon (any time after 2 pm). Anyone interested if its not raining? James, Lisa see you at R&J on Wed, and will probably go tonight also if it rains. Eldo this weekend sounds good, but I gotta check the schedule with Kim.
