It's November 18th and it's already this year's first snowmagedon. Roads closed, barely getting the Fit back to my apartment after work.
I like winter, but this is just ridicules.

I've bruised, cracked and broken ribs several tymes in teh past, mostly from doing stupid stuff. Unless a rib is broken and sticking thru sumthin important there is not much they will due other than tape your chest. It can hurt for awhile.... Don't laugh to much.
Still, if eye send ewe my money can you send my dic pic to teh clamhed?

first reaction - high of 20 sounds lovely!!! until I realized you just meant it was below freezing. Fucking Fahrenheit.
FWIW I needed to take a running start to get through the snow hump at the end of my driveway this morning. Otherwise the roads were much more drivable.

There is actually not that much mayo in it. Much less than you would put in a potato salad with equivalent amount of potatoes. And I've never seen one that elaborately done up... all it is, is salted herring on the bottom, layered with onions, grated potatoes, beets, a little mayo, and then hardboiled eggs. But if you don't like herring, or beets... not your dish!

I was just on the Frank Endo website and they are SOLD OUT of chalk through the end of the year!!!
I'm stuck with the lame stuff! The slimy chalk. SoIll. Not that ill.
I took my last 3 blocks of the dank to Big Malibu and now no more for months!!

It's sounds like the kind of dish my Newfoundland father would love. Which generally means I want nothing to do with it (mostly because of the herring though).

You are missing out!
Seriously, though, I am rather take-it-or-leave-it when it comes to herring under fur coat. There was time where this was a dish that was always present on the holiday table-- because it was a way to take all the same boring stuff, like potatoes, beets, and herring, and dress it up for the party, because that's all you had.
These days, I would rather eat the ingredients separately, or in combination with other things, and have something a bit more exciting for a dinner party. Oh, and herring actually tastes nothing like that slimy too-sour rubbery marinated thing that you can buy in grocery store jars here. Smoked herring.... now, that is a different thing altogether!

I tried the metolius super chalk years ago, but that drying agent they put in is too potent and my fingers all cracked, nasty!!!
