I'll take over for a bit then. I am stoked about all the responses we got for the NEW PA CLIMBERS CLUB, and I will start by saying that my apartment and the use of my wall is open to anyone out there who needs a place to crash and a partner to climb with. I also bike, snowboard and just picked up my first whitewater Kayak. I love how this is taking off and I am definitely in for some stuff in March, and April and May and June and those other months whose names I can't quite remember just now. I will say again; I am hitting up CLIMBANSIUM tonight and Thursday for anyone who wants to come and I going Snowboarding up at Blue Mountain this weekend. See ya soon everyone. And thanks GANSSCR for starting this up. 8)

I like this, looks like Pa climbers are getting a good move on. I posted up in the regional forums about a Emmaus Boulers Clean up day.

To those of you that responded to rokshoxbkr19's call for a PA climbing club,

Due to health issues, Eric has asked me to take over duties (temporarily) until he returns to good health.

SO...what would you like to get out of a PA climbing club?

Gail

hey everyone, i know eric, as a friend and a climber, and i think what he is trying to do is fantastic. like most things in life climbing is much more enjoyable when experienced with other people. Establishing a PA climbing club is an excellent idea and the only thing that i am looking for this club to provide, is friendly people with the right attitudes towards climbing. I hope everyone is getting ready for this climbing season, because i think its going to be excellent!!!

I for one am all for meeting new partners in the area. Recent changes to the website have made it harder than ever to do that.

We used to be able to find ppl who were geographically close to home and relate to us on age/gender as well. Now those pieces seem to have disappeared from our "Find People" link. This was a very valuable tool to hooking up in a vastly large expanse of area (namingly PA/MD) yet we are near so much valuable climbing regions.

I find there are an awful lot of climbers in the east and west but I wonder where did the people in the middle go? I live in south central PA...Mercersburg for those of you who would know my tiny town.

All those interested in meeting new faces this winter or spring, feel free to contact me. I have a partner that I've climbed with for some time...many of you may know him (rockrohler) but I am always looking to meet more climbers.

Danyelle

hi. ive been climbing for a year and i have about 2 or 3 friends who seem to becoming committed to climbing. i certainly would love to be part of the "PA Climbing Club" or whatever it would be called and i think i can speak for my climbing dudes and say they would too. however (and i am NOT volunteering) i think some central organization would be very helpful to our cause. not to mention a better means of communication (i.e. e-mail newsletter). just my nickels worth.

Hey Rokshox and Krichtnyte,

Both you guys need to get some PA climbing pictures on your profile page. What's this Red Rock stuff? Where's the trees? Wish you weren't here?

Put a picture of you shoveling snow on your page if you must. But make it PA. The Corrugated State.

Hey guys and gals...
I am just a lowly MASSHOLE; but I thought I would offer my opinion to anyone who wants it. I agree with Bonesz; the MASS CLIMBERS thread has helped me meet a bunch of truly nice pople. Also, when you get to about page 174 or so, it's fun to look back at what was being said/done 4 or 5 months ago,...you know when it didn't hurt to climb.
Keep it going...and try to challenge the wasted free time(10's upon 100's of illspent manhours) of the MASSHOLES.

Ok, I'm done.

I'm going to Wilkes Rocks Tuesday night (20th) with a bunch of climbing buddies if anybody is looking for something to do... Also we're going to some gym in the allentown area on Saturday (I'll find out the name tomorrow).
