After my brand new BW static line was used to go Aussie style, by person in my old Gaurd unit, at Rock State park in MD:

My favorite thing to do is when I am climbing in a large group of people I don't know to well, when asked to belay is:
"Let's see now, how does this thing work?"
The expression on the climbers face is priceless!
Another fun one, usually best pulled when you are 1000 feet off the deck and your partner is leading:
"Dude, there goes your truck!"

There was a story on here a while ago, when something like this:
It was windy, and the belayer and leader couldn't see eachother.
Climber: Watch me!
15 seconds later, Belayer: Off Belay!

climbing with my dad one time, he was belayin me, and when im about 50 feet up, he asks me to double check the knot on my harness.. :shock: "just to make sure it is tight".. I had to come down, because of my hands were shaking..

This really happened to me:
More than halfway up this route and you hear a cell phone ring:
Belayer: It's my girlfriend, i haven't talked to her in two weeks.
Climber (me): Yeah so, you can call her back later.
Belayer: She's out of the country, i gotta take this, hope you have a good hold.
i started throwing rocks at him until he got off the phone.
belayer: hey we forgot to double check your harness, are you double backed?
climber (rookie): what's doublebacked?
"BEES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Now I remember my best one to date.
Second day out at the LC Canyon a bee crawled into one of my Keen's as I lowered my partner back to the ground. He stings me shortly before touch down and I cursed profusely once he was safely down and ripped my shoe off to locate and remove the barb. Sucked but I was calm and didn't cripple anyone. The very next day on the other end of the canyon on I start working up an 11a, a little over my head but I can hang dog, sort of, my partner who's now on belay.
Belayer - "Dude! I hope you have a good grip!"
Me - "I'm cool.... sort'a" sensing what's about to happen
Belayer - Loosens up his sandal very gently and quickly kicks it off and scrambles away as two bees exit his sandal as he curses profusely. " I got you now, sorry about that"
Me - "I understand completly"
