It's just so classic I can't help but post that one every time I get the chance! I'll try to get off my lazy duff and try to find another example sometime soon, but I've actually been WORKING recently  (I know, it's horrible and cuts in on my postcount and lurk time).

In reply to: In reply to: In reply to: ATC is very difficult to manage during leader fall unless you got some high rope mileage on how to use it correctly, Gri Gri would be a better choice in this case for you, your partner was not anchored or he was standing in a shaky place, make sure he anchors himself, always carry a first aid of some kind, read my previous posting about getting a guy out on El Cap with 1-2 inches deep burning cut in the middle of his hand, he did not stopped the rope, ROPE got stuck by some god given knot that was created during fast moving rope so wear gloves . Wear helmet ( Ohh this is a sport climbing we do not look COOL with helmet). Helicopter ride is $14000 in most places (you will sell your climbing gears to pay this cost). Team did I miss any thing? You missed the boat, by a mile. How come every time I read one of your posts, the phrase 'STFU n00b' comes to mind? -Jay jay, you get my last trophy post for the day...my sentiments exactly!

In reply to: In reply to: I can't believe this, now fat people with no strength and talent can climb with magnetic walls. Why would this be fun? You even have magnets on your shins! Maybe they'll offer magnets for beer guts and yeast muffins? Advertisments like this should be on www.VideoGamesRule.com, not www.rockclimbing.com, just my opinion. I see you're a paying partner to this site. Oh wait, you're not. Instead, you post factually incorrect posts, resurrect 3-year-old posts to further your own little two-bit company, and now decide that the only good climber is a non-fat "talented" one? I swear, your mommy may love you, but you come across as the most incredible ass-wipe in a long while. Honestly, shut the f--- up.

I printed this quip off the Com. site and have it hanging on the wall in my office. It cuts through all the jibber jabber and just lays it out there in the spirit of classic flaming. "You don't have the right to address my interpersonal skills when you try to demean someone who is being open and sncere you prick." JL

In reply to: In reply to: OOOOOOOOOOKKKKKKKKKKKKKAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYy So I was at the gym looking at the number 5 C4 and Regular Camalot and discovered that the original Camalot number 5 is quite a bit larger than the C4 number 5. Does anyone know anything about this? Is Black Diamond planning on making a bigger C4 than the 5? later, same thread: In reply to: thanks for the clearification i never saw a number 6 C4 on anysites (but i really wasn't looking) and i have deciided that everyone on this site really sucks ass HAHAHAHA WHAT A RETARD

In reply to: I'll agree that Glucosamine has little to do with tendon recovery. The only things that I know of that assists in tendon recovery are acupuncture and bromelaine.

In reply to: 2005-06-14 -- Blasphemy! You're not jamming! -- bandycoot 2005-06-14 -- I couldn't jam because of the angle of the top rope. Believe me, I tried!! Any attempt to jam resulted in a barn door. The anchor had to be placed about 2 feet to the right of the crack and my belayer gave me no slack whatsoever. This was my first climb outdoors and he didn't want me to deck or swing. -- nd2boostt These comments were made in the photo section.

THIS JUST IN!!!
In reply to: Anger brings out the best free soloing out of poeple. I had a friend who left his rack at the top of route while he rapelled. He helped his friend rapel then was going to climb back up and get it. at the bottom they see some kids look over the edge at them, then they hear "clip, clip" and the anchor falls over the edge. He hears his rack being moved around, and solos up a 40 ft 5.8 and attempts to chase them, but couldnt with his climbing shoes on.

In reply to: The reason I'm asking is because I really want to get on a big wall but want to avoid having to learn all the trick of the trade for aid climbing.
In reply to: You don't have to be in that great of shape to free climb. You and your partner and alternate pitches and if need be you can always jumar up and or aid a pitch. These from the same person in the same thread.

I know, one could start a whole thread on classic, only-on-rc.com photos, but I'll slip this one in here anyway. Bouldering in the gym, in a helmet! And taking a photo of it! And putting it on the internet! http://www.rockclimbing.com/...mp.cgi?Detailed=8726

Now playing:
In reply to: I know this sounds lame, but I'm looking into rock climbing from a different angle. Has anyone here ever heard of like grappling-hook rock climbing? Also, is it possible to build a rig with a grappling hook and then an auto-line reel, say, a high-powered electric fishing reel that raises you via monofilament fishing line or something? Are there methods like this only with different/specialized equipment? I'm a complete newbie, so please bare with me. Thanks! FYI kachoong, KU = University of Kansas (UK = Kentucky)... but they're not that important anyway

Not that I am an advocate, but give the guy a break - some insurance companies require helmets - for everything.
