And it's no surprise that you are ok with the fact that this man's incompetence has led to needless deaths of our troops. As long as his policies agree with your ideology, it's all good as far as you're concerned.

Would you expect any different from Dannoguy. Bush lied, Dannoguy lied.

If Bush didn't lie then he has to most one of the most incompetent leader ever for using the intelligence presented to him to go to war. Kinda a no win for the guy, just like dannoguy.

"Two peas in a pod".

Yes, Congress voted to authorize the use of force as a last resort, based on politicized intel that the White House was feeding them.

Ahh, there we go..."that the White House was feeding them," eh?

You're losing it, Littlepedro, and I'm lovin' it.

In reply to:

.

Lol, touched a nerve, eh, Littlepedro? Why don't you go to the archives and prove that I'm lying? Uh, oh, can't do that, can we? That might be a bit embarrassing for you, eh?

As to "rewriting history" you phrase captioned above does a pretty good job of painting a distortion that suits your purpose. Nevermind the recently completed investigation which found the opposite of what you imply in your usual sleazy way. Either you and your toadies, rufie and brayingbobby, have proof that Bush lied or it is you that is lying. Which is it, Littlepedro?

In reply to:
And it's no surprise that you are ok with the fact that this man's incompetence has led to needless deaths of our troops.

What is no surprise is that you would write off the deaths of each and every one of our troops as being needless and in vain; I wonder if you'd have the stones to say that to their families face to face, the families who are proud of their son's and daughter's sacrfices, those who happen to support their efforts...but then Littlepedro is the man who thinks that serving one's country is no bigger a deal than paying a little income tax. (My exact words were, "there are different ways to serve one's country") You, sir, are a sick pathetic little man to make such flat disparaging statements.

In reply to:
If Bush didn't lie then he has to most one of the most incompetent leader ever for using the intelligence presented to him to go to war.

While it is very unfortunate that the intelligence was or may have been flawed, there are a litany of other important people and countries who wholly concurred with the intelligence as it was presented at the time and if you and your hero, Littlepedro, kept up on the events of the time, you'd know it and admit it. Better for you to spin and try to disparage rather than deal in the facts, eh Bobby?

Very profound, very powerful stuff...if only you were on a junior high debate team.

You didn't find curt's comment as similarly offensive? Bias can do that I guess.

Bias?

Guess you don't know what the term 'sitting on the fence' means. I just thought curt's comment was an interesting point. The fact that I haven't commented about my views on it should preclude me from any bias at this point  .

The real facts are finally coming out. Hold onto your seat, Dannoguy the ride about to get a little rough.

I guess those other countries were wrong too. Two wrongs don't make right...but maybe in your world they do!

Are those other countries and important people the same one who formed the huge coalition that followed us into this mess??

You "just thought curt's comment was an interesting point?" Here I thought you said you were offended, or do I have you confused with someone else?

Not having commented previously hardly qualifies your "offended" comment as patently unbiased.

What a mealymouthed copout.

The confusing nature of Dano's statements makes more sense when you realize that his sole purpose, on this site, is to provoke controversy. I fear that his condition stems from his having been verbally abused as a child. That would explain his inexorable compulsion for stirring trouble and attempting to malign members of this board. I am actually starting to feel a modicum of pity for him.

With pretty much every post you are taking people's words and twisting them into straw men that you can then spew your vitriol at. Your dishonesty is so pathelogical it is no surprise that you can't distinguish between reality and your own fantasy. You are one messed up dude.

In reply to:

Either you and your toadies, rufie and brayingbobby, have proof that Bush lied or it is you that is lying. Which is it, Littlepedro?

The National Intelligence Estimate contained doubts and many qualified statements by the intel community. Bush conveyed none of these doubts, but rather conveyed only those things that supported his policy. That is called LYING. But I would expect one who lies so easily and frequently to have a very loose interpretation of what a lie is. Me? I go by my good Christian Momma's definition.

In reply to:

What a worthless puddle of rat puke you are. Needless deaths = unecessary deaths, you dumbass. Saying this was unnecessary in no way devalues their sacrifice, it just makes it greater and all the more tragic. And why don't make your sick accusations to the faces of the families of lost soldiers who don't support this war? I'll tell you why. Because in your simpleton's world there is no room for notions that don't fit with your ideology.

And I notice you conveniently neglected this: "And then Bush made the go/no go decision, rushing in when there was obviously no immediate threat, and when the U.N. inspectors were asking for just a little more time to do their job. Not to mention that he tossed aside the war plans developed by our Generals and went in with a plan (if one could call it that) that hung our military out to dry."

Which is actually the point of Curt's comment that "Bush decided", which you objected to. Isn't it, Daliarguy?

Because your credibility went into the toilet...about the time you said: "My exact words were, "there are different ways to serve one's country" Now you've tried your best to slip and snake your way out of it but you've failed miserably and now you want so desparately to attack me to divert attention away from your glaring smear of our troop's services and sacrifices...that and the fact that you've admitted that you were the kid all the other kids enjoyed giving swirleys to in phys ed. Lol, I'm not sure which admission is more revealing; both do answer a lot of questions about your previous posts though.

Read your OWN post again, Einstein. You did not say that "this" (the conflict/invasion) was unnecessary; you said the deaths were. It may be hard for you to believe but your opinion is not universally held by those that serve and their loved ones; some believe in what they are doing and do not believe that the deaths of their friends are "unnecessary." Some are proud to serve, something you know nothing about, and by that they mean something more than just paying their taxes, asshole. Nice try at spinning your way out of your own slime again. Gee, now what did you proudly say your momma would call that? Lying?

We invaded Iraq to remove Sassam's WMD. There were no WMD, therefore our reason for invading Iraq was false.

There you go again. The use of the word false strongly infers deliberate intention to mislead as I am sure you are aware...

No it doesn't. The use of the word "false" means that the information was false--i.e. not true. I am not prepared (at this time) to claim that GWB deliberately lied to the American people because that has not yet been proven to my satisfaction.

However, it is abundantly clear that GWB did not accept intelligence that ran contrary to his administration's foregone conclusions about Iraq and WMDs--and that his administration punished those (Wilson) who aired opinions that were at odds with what GWB & Co. wanted to believe.

Hey dumbass, can you not read? I don't have to find it in archives because I've already shown the world how you're lying right here in this thread. I've shown how you have repeatedly tried to twist my words into something that I did not mean, and in spite of the fact that I've corrected you multiple times you keep doing it. Well, what do you know, I found it. So here is my post in its entirety. Notice the obvious context (I bolded some of it). I’m talking about paying taxes and the obligation I feel to give back to my country. I'm obviously talking about the type of service that one contributes to society's betterment, not to military defense. No mention of military service whatsoever. No mention of giving one’s life. No attempt to equate paying taxes with either of these things, as you claim.

Go ahead, try to twist my words, like you’ve done with Curt’s and pretty much everyone else’s here. Go ahead you pathetic liar.

I won't be waiting for an apology from you. You don't have the integrity nor the decency for that. Just like I don't wait for an apology from you for saying that I cheer the deaths of our soldiers. I can't imagine the depravity in a brain that would actually think something like that. What sickness. What disgusting puke must slosh around in your skull. Your vile words and lies stand on their own. We can all see exactly what you are.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm filthy rich . . . and dead sexy.

(Ok, I still have to work, so half of that is wrong.)

And I like paying my taxes, because I feel I have an obligation to contribute something back to the country/society in which I've had the great fortune to live. It's not my money, it's the overhead cost of my existence here, plus a little extra to help out my neighbors. That's how I look at it.

I like most of the stuff I get for my taxes:

They help the less fortunate or less able get an education, and/or a leg up, and/or a safety net in the time of need. This means lower crime rates for me and a reasonably stable society - not too much civil unrest here. I wish the gov would give less to corporations who ship American jobs oversees and more to poor people, though.

They mean a pretty dang good infrastructure, although some areas need a little more attention, and I'd rather see more spent on rail than roads or air travel infrastructure.

They mean, by far, the best dang military in the world, although I'd rather see us spend about half what we do because we would still have the best dang military in the world and be able to afford to improve our society in other areas.

I think I get a lot for my taxes.

I liked Warren Buffet's comments on Bush's tax cuts and the whole rich vs. poor thing. This is paraphrasing, but he basically said:

"I make no attempts to shelter my money or decrease my tax burden. I pay about 30% of my income in total taxes. My secretary pays about 30% of her income in total taxes. Doesn't seem right to me."

Some rich people aren't greedy. Some people recognize that they owe a debt to their country and fellow man. Some people have no problem giving up some of "their money" for the betterment of our country. I think it's a patriotic thing to do - there are different ways to serve your country, after all.

Of all the s--- you've ever posted, rufus, this is the worst.

You do a disservice to every person that had been abused as a child, and you did it only in a vain attempt to score some cheap shot in a discussion. You belittle their tragedy and horror by these words. So anyone that disagrees with you or dislikes your views must have been a child that was abused?

Just disgusting. And yet you purport yourself as superior in all ways? My word, man, how do you sleep at night?

Your tactic and post are truly pathetic, and you ought to be ashamed.

Pussy.

There's real class.

If you have proof that the president purposely lied please bring it forth. It will make you famous. Otherwise you're simply another Michael Moore wannabe only more obnoxious and shrill, if that's possible.

There was a frontline show on this. The President knew the problems with the intel, he chose not to share those doubts, and he and his staff made the case as if there were no doubts. That is a lie.

To hear it from you , the evidence is cut and dried. Explain why there haven't been any congressional hearings into this matter. Or were there hearings and I just missed it? Yeah. Maybe that's it.
