Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Situations like this make me think of all the times I've run it out and how differently those climbs could've ended. Heal up quick, the rock needs you. Much love from New England. Todd

Very sorry to hear of the accident. Since it's reality now, I hope Rebecca can make the best of it in some way that I can't imagine. I know a few accident victims who say they learned and grew in invaluable ways. Seems like blasphemy but since it's your life, I hope you can look at it as a challenge, opportunity, lesson, and connect with all the love that's coming your way. peace and love Karl

Thank you again, everyone. I will get these messages to her as soon as i can. and update: Rebecca went in for surgery on her leg and they put a drain in her head to relieve the swelling. She has come out of surgery and is now in stable condition. This is, thus far, the only other news that I have recieved from the hospital. You will know more when I know more. Rebecca, Nate, our thoughts are with you. Brent

It's good to hear she's in stable condition. I hope her road to recovery isn't too long or painful and that she heals completely. Good vibes vibing your way, Rebecca.

Bad news indeed. A drain means a pretty serious head injury so our fellow climber will likely need our continued support for a while. I trust she will make a full recovery and I wish her nothing but the best from the bottom of my heart. JL

Duuuude, this sucks... I haven't met Rebecca in person, but her comments in the coffee shop and around the forums usually lighten my days... Please keep me posted about her condition and the accident itself; especially the former... *Turns on super-positive-climber-vibe machine* -F

Hit a ledge from 40'? Sounds like a tough lady. Here's to getting back out on the sharp end sooner rather than later.

Though I've seen her at the gym, I've only really met her once and hardly said more than 'hello'. We were actually going to head up to Lion's Head on the weekend, but she ended up having to work part of Saturday so it didn't work out. Odd how events turn. It seems like there should be a lot to say, and maybe there is, but not much seems worth saying right now other than that something terrible has happened and there's not much I, or anyone else can do to undo it. All I can do is give my best wishes for better days to come; I sincerely wish it could be more.
