So yesterday while climbing a easy sport route I saw a wire in a crack and sure enough it was a nut! Woo! with a few minutes of playing I got it out and was so pump (because it was my first booty find!) So just wondering what sorta booty other people have found. More so the biggest booty. Post and lets see who has the biggest booty!

Good score. I saw a brand new #6 C4 way in the back of the Epinephrine chimney last time I was there. I was too fat to get back far enough to reach it though so it doesn't count.

I scored two nuts this weekend...er...make that 1 nut. Turns out my partner dropped one of her nuts and didn't know it! When Mitchal and I climb together he routinely scores booty; several hexes, nuts and even a couple of cams. He has the uncanny ability to patiently work out a piece of gear.

The largest thing I've bootied is a #4 Camalot. I've bootied two of them. I gave the C4 away, it's really an annoying peice. I've bootied... 2 .5 Camalots 2 Blue TCU 1 #1 C4 2 .75 C4 Large Metolius Max Cam (totally fubared though) Countless Nuts of all sizes Lots of biners and locking biners A gri gri (left at a ledge, not dropped) A nut tool. In my time I've lost (sometimes stuck, usually dropped into a bottomless abyss or left for safety reasons). Countless nuts #1 Friend #2.5 Friend (both in my first year) Lots of biners and lockers #4 Camalot (zing out the narrows of steck salathe) #1 Camalot (dropped into a narrowing hole) #4 Camalot (kinda stuck but bad weather ensues) 3 BD Spot Headlamps and a Zipka .75 C4 off the black canyon, found it but it was mangled. I probably forgot something somewhere too. If it's give a penny, take a penny, I'm only a little behind.

Found a draw on the ground above the cliff once and got all excited. Realized one biner and the runner were Kong - lame/trash. The other end was a WC Ultralight.....shabang! Later that night a buddy tells me that he dropped a Kong/WC draw at that spot without realizing it, and upon seeing his bummed out face fessed up and turned over the booty.

My one and only piece of booty is a #3 C4 Camalot. I have a friend who has bootied at least one cam in each of his last 3 trips to the RRG. Lucky bastard!

My biggest score came at this one area. I approached the crag and luck have it there were quickdraws all over the routes. I was like a kid in a candy store... My best karmatic booty came in the form of a #4 Tech-Friend. Essentially made back the $30 from a botched permit plus some extra. I've bootied countless nuts, 7 cams, 4 hexes, 2 tricams, and a rubber ducky. (yes, a rubber ducky)

I pulled two cams right on top of one another in a crack in Oak Creek Canyon, AZ. Took some work, and a little pump, but I managed to get them out. I did, however, leave a biner this weekend at Shelf...yours for the takin!

Most gear in a single day: 2 cams 2 nuts 3 biners 1 quick link some new webbing 1L of water (a god send for the hike back) Most gear on a single climb: 1 cam a few nuts a couple of draws Moral #1 - visit Solar Slab in RR the day after it rains a bit Moral #2 - gumbies can be bad at finding all the gear (we figured who lost all the gear on that single climb and gave it back, which is why I can't remember the full list of gear).

(1) Red Tricam (small list) I actually passed on a hex because I assumed it was fixed, only to watch the next party clean it. Moral: Its worth a try. Anyone that has any suspect booty they want to retire, send it my way and I'll destroy it for you.

Some years ago, a buddy of mine would find himself at the Gunks on what he called "Free Gear Mondays". Rapping down the most-travelled routes in the Trapps yielded much, much, much booty left by Sunday bailers. (You know who you are and you know you traded it all for crack you big whore )

He actually snagged 2 cams that trip: One on Bedtime and one on Arachnid. I got mine on Roadside Attraction. Someone had to have been pissed. To leave behind a nice, new #3 C4 only about 15' off the deck. It took some work to get it out, but we eventually got it.

I was walking back from inspiration point on the jenny lake trail a few years back and found a nicely coiled rope hanging on a fence post. It was wet as though it had been there a while, but I was such a noob I didnt know i probably had some fat booty staring me in the face! I didn't even own a rope at the time and it was mighty tempting. My rationale then for leaving it was that I didnt want to lead on a rope I found, and someone was probably returning for it anyway. Was it right to just walk away from the booty?

The best thing I ever scored were 7 petzl Draws on a 9 bolt route, for some reason every bolt but the bottem two had draws on it. Anyways, that was the best day ever.

I scored this biner a while ago on an old obscure route in the Sierra. My guess is it hasn't been climbed in a while. It's an original Chouinard oval from the early 60's. One of the perks of climbing the less traveled routes. I've found a few other gems along the way as well.
