I don't recall if I've ever met Sara, or been at a crag climbing when she was there, but I have been following this thread with interst and am very glad she's recovering in such a promising manner.

Its good to read these positive updates, and I'm glad she's on the mend... good luck Sara, full recovery!

I’m sorry to here of this accident. I've climbed at Eastpeak many times and find it surprising to here of something like this at such a well used crag. My prayers go out to Sara and the others who are dealing with her injuries. I’m glad to here of the progress and hope it continues well. Get well soon.

I don't know Sara, but I know a lot of people who do. If what they tell me about her is only half true, then I'm not surprised at all by her strength and resiliency. Glad the world didn't lose her!

Wondering if anyone had any update as to how S is doing? One of my friends visited her about a week and half ago and she was up walking around and joking a little.

My understanding is that for the first time since the accident, she may get to go home soon. Hopefully as soon as this week. She'll still be spending a fair amount of time at Spaulding, but as an outpatient.

I believe there is still a procedure left to do, so that's one planned setback, but she gets to start living her life again. Pretty exciting for everyone, especially her!

GO

You can be a jerk if you want, but don't ridicule proper technique.

So, instead of supporting those who would have helped Sara prevent her injuries, you accuse them of being drug addicts. Feeling inadequate are we?

Please knock it off. You are being extremely disrespectful, and this subject does not need to take on that type of tone.

Thanks.

one day in the near future (i hope). Sara "Wild Cat" Gillers will be back in Roger's shack at the NRG, where i had the good fortune to spend a summer with her and many other good friends. we will chug 40's, listen to obnoxious rap music and verbally abuse each other in our loving way, unafraid of offending those with hypersensitive constitutions. i wish you the best and hope you find the ability to take things a little less serious.

This is absolutely NOT the place for this kind of comment. Play nice or don't play at all.

She seems to be doing great. I think she still has headaches, but she has been climbing in the gym for a while now. SHe may have more side effects then she lets on, but she seems back to her normal jovial self.
