Happy B-day ben! Have a safe trip out, and good luck with all those photos! i know that i have my work cut out for me, and i shot wayyyy less haha! Tiff, i did get on Wiamea before it got soaked. i actually was on it during the little preceding shower, and got off right before the thunderstorm hit (poor Jeff had to clean it) its such a beautiful line, 100% aesthetic. gonna go back this week and work on it some more, its soo very addictive!

Morning all, it's the day after and I'm still in recovery. What a wonderful weekend. I am gald to have met new people as well as see those whom I haven't seen in a while. It was a blast climbing with you all. Having lived in New England for three years now that was my first foray to Rumney, and it won't be my last. I expect my body to ache for another few days. Pictures to come!

Well, it's morning and my old bones really enjoyed the nice soft bed last night. Despite the nagging toothache I had all weekend, I'm glad I stayed around and got to know everyone. From all that were there, Rich, Matt, Todd, Tiff, Josh and Jake were the only familiar faces, well, except for Ben where we had a pizza once as he traveled through my town. Everyone else was new to me and it was truly my pleasure to meet everyone. I really enjoyed watching new climbers take the sharp end for the first time and did not mind being the belay dude at all, in fact, I preferred it. Rich did entice me to lead Jolt again so that he could climb it .. next time, you lead, my friend! I can't wait until all the pictures are gone through. Ben and Ben ... I'll pay for a copy of all your pics ... burn them and I'll give you my address to send them to. My word that they will always be yours. Again, I really enjoyed the youthful age of the group and the energy you all put out for such a great sport! One last word, the weekends weather was great until late Sunday morning - early afternoon when the thunderstorm caused us to bunker down at Waimea, where a few brave souls played around at the beginning of a nice 12d. Don't remember the name, but good job. Until next year!

Allison and I had a great time, too! We hid under Lower Vader to watch the fireworks on Sunday. Allison even spotted the lightning bolt that hit that tree in the campsite. I was turned around looking at something else, when she said "Whoa, one just hit in the valley!" Anyway, I have a few pics I'll post this week. Best one is probably of Jake on his proud send of Things as They Are Now (5.12a). Nice job, Jake! I think that's his second 12. Which means the first one wasn't a fluke. Go, you scrawny bastard, go! Cheers all! GO

I would be willing to pay for a copy of either or both of the Bens photos as well. And promise not to sell them or publish them as my own.

Keep you're fingers crossed, because I might have lost the pics from Crawford. I put that memory card into my compute to dl the pics, and it got to about half way and then tweaked out on me, and now the memory card is empty. I'm going to go to the local camera shop and see if they can pull the files. All the crawford notch shots are missing, as well as a bunch of shots of Matt, Gabe and Kim (?) down by the river.
