Hey everybody! I'm stoked to be a part of the RockClimbing.com community and am looking forward to everyone's posts. I participated in a bouldering competition at my local gym in San Diego about two weeks ago and met the owner of a company called YAMA Bags. I was blown away by her handmade, unique, and colorful chalk bags and decided to interview her on my blog. Thought you guys might want to take a look. Check it out at: http://outdoorreporter.com/...with-jezryl-castelo/ I hope this doesn't come off as being spammy on this message board. I am an outdoor blogger and avid climber and love spreading the word! Peace!

Sean, are you saying THIS chalkbag (and the music they MAKE you listen too on that site) is less gay? I mean, I don't have the sense of style you obviously do on what is gay or not I suppose.....it just seems.....well....here: maybe Wikipedia can explain it better. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rainbow_flag

The only fucking thing you need in a chalkbag is an extra, small zippered pocket to store a knife and some rap rings. No-body makes chalk bags with little pockets anymore, because they're all so self obsessed with style. A churchkey would also do well.

I've got a Verve chalkbag with a zippered pouch. I've never once put anything in it. I guess I could. It's just not a concern for me on the stuff I like to climb, like you know, 3000ft trad routes in the middle of nowhere.

The Arc'teryx chalk bags have a zippered pocked and the strap attachment can be used as a bottle opener. You're welcome.

If you think there are some essentials that you must take on every climb, well, you probably climb slow and at a low level.

Nah, it's cuz they're all on Heroin these days and those little pouches don't accommodate a hypodermic needle and spoon that well.

Wow. I didn't think my post was going to offend like it apparently did. I came across this company that makes unique chalk bags and thought I'd share it with the community. Its not like I make any money when someone buys one of them. I have a total respect for climbing and the people involved in the sport, and on this forum. Sorry to those who found my post offensive or inappropriate.

There are a lot of spammers out there and until you establish yourself as a real person and participate in general discussions you will take some flak. And even then...

BTW, you all caused me to buy the Stash bag (Metolius is out) and an Arcterix C80. Got to have the zipper. I'm hoping I that it helps me start climbing a letter grade or 2 harder on sport routes.
