Just had another house showing. They seemed to love everything about the place, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed...

Then dumped out my tool bags, organized, cleaned, sorted, and packed all my tools for tomorrow. Bought a Humming Bird yesterday for $40.00 at the Gear Exchange on my way out of Bishop. [image]https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/295114_3734242629595_2063713043_n.jpg[/image] Nice score! I used my partner's Hummingbird axe when I climbed Repentance on Cathedral, and my personal Hummingbird hammer is still one of my "go-to" tools when things get narsty. It usually gets designated as the spare third tool now that I have (finally) upgraded my ice gear, but that thing is awesome. I never liked the tubular pick, however. The straight pick works perfectly fine and in a greater variety of conditions. Awesome! Thanks for the info. I've been very curious how it would work for me. I'm glad to hear that you like it. The tubular pick doesn't appeal to me either. I doubt I'll even ever try it. It would do horribly on mixed terrain.

sometimes playing around with the software works out. What's great about the software is that when I dream of an idea or concept I can play around there first before putting it to canvas. The above wasn't what I had dreamed. I dreamed of this instead: I thought about calling this "Only the Lonely" after listening to Roy Orbison's song, but the software has a layer feature that allows me to play with adding objects, colors, etc.. I'm still going to play with "only the lonely" and will probably try to do both on canvas. Still, this is fun.

I love the weather in autumn and generally enjoy the new warmth of the spring, but the angle of the sun during these seasons fucking sucks. Migraines weekly. Running out of excedrin. fucking hate it.

Sew 1st the bad news. In 4-6 months 1 out of 3 peeps r going to be canned. Apparrently no voluntary incentives offered. Might not want to spend too much time on the knob while at work till all that shakes out. Seriously though, thats a tough position to be in. I hope it all works out well. no more pt and pc++? ouch thats going to hurt. In related news. My boss wants me to go to CO for some training. Which is good news, still wants me on his team. I just got back from CO for a conference. Turn around and go back in a couple weeks. Cool, where in CO? Time for climbing? Maybe, I have one free day, Sat after class. Which Sat? OK, lets try this again. crashed the knob last time I tryed to reply to this post. I will be in Montrose CO, Sept 10-16. I will be free Sat the 15th, and I have wheels. I would love to climb out there, but will be limited to shoes, harness, and belay device. Maybe a PAS or something else small and light. I have a late afternoon flight out of Grand Junction, so can hang late on Sat for the climbing. Now the question arises, Sammy, how is it, you are listed as being in CO? Last I recall you where making vegi sammies for NA in Virginia. Actually, that doesn't really mater. But I will take any info on Climbing in the area that anyone might have.

Lazlo wrote: Ironically, I'm going to have more money and time for climbing, now that I'm not going to be guiding for a few months. I can't wait for some alpine ice. Epoch, think anything will form up in the Sierras this year? I drove past Bloody Coulior yesterday. The thing is completely melted out. I'm hoping something good will form. I want to get on ice this year, fir sure. My parents taunted me when the falls in Gray Eagle froze up last winter. I almost dropped everything and headed up to climb it. I'm hoping stuff a bit more south freezes up. I'll take what I can get this year.
